Climbing a hillside trail on a dirt bike with the knobby rear wheel jumping and grabbing for traction, a kid experiences the exhilaration of speed and the freedom of motorcycle riding. Maintenance of an all terrain vehicle (ATV) can be a challenge because of the rigors of off road riding. Wiseco Performance Products, Inc. makes high quality aftermarket parts for engine repair, so when an engine breaks down, the fun never stops for long.

Clyde Wiseman first started making Wiseco performance parts in his garage on the east side of Cleveland, Ohio, in 1940. Mr. Wiseman soon earned a reputation for making high quality pistons, and Wiseco Piston company was born in 1941. Wiseco performance parts are distributed around the world today and Wiseco makes pistons and ATV parts for every brand that is out there kickin' up dirt or cutting a wake.

Wiseco performance parts are made to repair a street or motocross motorcycle, an ATV, a snowmobile, a personal watercraft, automobiles, and even racing karts. Wiseco performance parts are built to last, and modified designs are available that enhance an engine's power. Wiseco pistons are made of forged aluminum so they are lighter, and carefully engineered designs are available whether a rider wants a stock replacement piston or a high compression racing piston. Wiseco performance parts also include piston rods, crankshafts, bearing kits, and clutch parts.

Piston kits are sold for the KX250 Kawasaki motorcycle and cost around $152 from Wiseco. These kits include the piston head, compression and oil rings, pin, and circlips. For a more comprehensive overhaul of the KX 250 Kawasaki, Wiseco performance parts also sells a crankshaft assembly that is pre-assembled and ready to be installed. This assembly costs around $217. If the piston rod is bad, then Wiseco performance parts can supply that as well. A rod kit costs just under $100.

Unfortunately, when an engine breaks down and pistons need replacing this often means that the cylinder is scored and needs to be bored out and/or fitted with a sleeve. Wiseco performance parts manufactures excellent quality cylinder sleeves that will refurbish that damaged engine cylinder and get the rider back out on the road with minimal down time. Sleeves are made for most engines and vary in price from around $70 to $126, depending on the make and model.

Wiseco performance parts is in the business of keeping recreational and racing machines running at peak performance. Riders want reliability and power whether jumping a wake on a personal watercraft or laying into a berm on a motocross track, so Wiseco aftermarket parts are a wise choice. Wiseco performance parts help keep the fun happening and they increase engine function. Wiseco performance parts also increase engine torque and make that throttle more responsive. When the chance to take first place appears, pour it on with confidence because Wiseco parts provide what it takes to win.
