Kawasaki Heavy Industries is a company that manufactures trains, ships and air cargo vessels, but its most notable products are much smaller. Kawasaki offers an extensive line of 2007 Kawasaki motorcycles, and the Ninja model is right up front. However, if a motorcyclist decides he or she wants a Ninja, the search doesn't end there. Several of the 2007 Kawasaki motorcycles bear the name Ninja.

The 2007 Kawasaki motorcycles all have some specifications in common. The Ninjas utilize a four-stroke, parallel twin cylinder DOHC engine and a six-speed manual transmission. Its four-valve-per-cylinder engine is liquid cooled and formatted in a drive train chain setup.

Compared to other 2007 Kawasaki motorcycles, The Ninja 250R comes with a relatively low MSRP ($2,999) and is intended for use on standard paved roads. The Ninja 250 R has 248 ccs and a 12.4:1 compression ratio comparable to that of the most powerful of the 2007 Kawasaki motorcycles, the Ninja ZX-14. Here's the standard caveat emptor notice: In early 2007, Kawasaki recalled the F7F and F7FL types of 2007 Ninja 250Rs as well as models going back to 2004, claiming they had received a significant amount of warranty claims on leaking fuel tanks; when flammable liquid like fuel gets near an ignition source, the results can be fatal even if the motorcycle is stationary. The company thought the tanks may have been punctured during the process of manufacturing the Ninja 250R.

The next two in the line of 2007 Kawasaki motorcycles, the Ninja 500R and Ninja 600R aren't much different except for price and performance. The Ninja 500R models (formerly called the EX500) are marketed as the middle-ground choice out of the 2007 Kawasaki motorcycles, good for both rookies and experienced riders. The Ninja 500R is a mid-priced motorcycle (just above $5,000) with almost 500 ccs propelling its lightweight, sporty frame.

Like the Ninja 500R, the Ninja 650R's name comes from the size of the engine (649 to be exact). More powerful than the Ninja 500R, the Ninja 650R is priced proportionally at $6,399. It's essentially a continuation of the Ninja 500R model: it offers features intended to please both new and experienced riders. The ultra-responsive handling and comfortable seating in the 2007 Kawasaki motorcycles is something motorcyclists of all backgrounds can enjoy.

Kawasaki's Ninja ZX-6R and ZX-10R are the middleweight sport bikes of the 2007 Kawasaki motorcycles. They may be heavier but they'll get up to that fifth gear all the same. The Ninja ZX-6R comes standard with features previously seen only on race tracks. The Ninja ZX-10R boasts almost a thousand ccs, putting the emphasis on race track performance. This isn't the Ninja for novices or those looking for a nice cruise through the downtown area. Of the 2007 Kawasaki motorcycles, the Ninja ZX-10R is described by Kawasaki as the model for those who like it fast and are experienced enough to fully appreciate all it has to offer. And at an MSRP of $10,999, this isn't the one for penny-pinching riders.

Now for those who don't mind throwing around a couple (hundred) Benjamins, the Ninja ZX-14 is the most expensive of the 2007 Kawasaki motorcycles. The high-performance motorcycle came screaming into the market in March 2006 with a list price of almost $12,000, but Kawasaki claims riders will immediately know where that money went when they kick on the engine of these 2007 Kawasaki motorcycles. The Ninja ZX-14 exhibits serious torque and power coming from the 1352 cc engine. With a smooth power delivery that won't intimidate riders used to lesser performance motorcycles, and user friendly seating and pedal design, Kawasaki proudly notes the Ninja ZX-14 has won every comparison test magazines have thrown its way.

The 2007 Kawasaki motorcycles all come standard with a 12 month warranty. For extra protection, Kawasaki's Good Times Protection Plan (in 12, 24, 36, and 48 month coverage variations) are available ensuring of any of the 2007 Kawasaki motorcycles that whatever happens on (or off) the road, they will be covered.
